Weiird... Because Normal Isn't Working

Contentment
Have you ever noticed that, though we live in the richest society in the word, we don't feel rich? We are adiscontented bunch! This week we will consider why…. And the surprising way that the Bible directs us to enjoy our riches. This week, "Weird Contentment."

A Warning
Today, there is perhaps nothing considered more socially inappropriate than for a person to warn another that they may be on the road to destruction.
This warning is believed not just to be 'weird' but judgmental and arrogant.

But that didn’t stop Jesus from warning anyone who would listen. Jesus talked more about hell than about heaven; virtually every record that we have of Jesus speaking to
a large audience included a warning about the reality of hell and half of Jesus’ parables warn His listeners about hell?

Today we look at the Wide Road's destination.

He does.

This week we consider 'Weird Faith.'

Jesus promises us that when we choose to get off the broad road, choosing instead to go His way, we will be pressured to get back on it. This week we will consider how this pressure comes when we reject 'normal' and choose 'weird.' … and what we should do with the pressure when it comes.

As the world around us becomes increasingly post-Christian, what is considered 'normal be increasongly different than God's design for our lives. Those who choose to walk withGod will be considered 'weird.' I say, "Viva la differance.'
