Our Purpose

Giving time and place for each women to be drawn to the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ, in order to:

• deepen her passion for God

• discover her identity in Christ
• demonstrate the reality of Christ in her life

Women's Retreat

Our Women's Retreat will be the weekend of February 20-22, 2009 at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg.  More information will follow.

 

Moms' Connection

Moms' Connection is a support group for moms with young children. It meets on Thursday mornings from 9:00—11:00 am in the Fireside Room during the school year.

They alternate between discussions of a book on motherhood and speakers.

Childcare for preschoolers is provided at nominal cost. 

Moms with children (infants through grade school) get together regularly for support and encouragement. New members and visitors are always welcome. Child care will be provided.

During the summer, mom's with young children will meet on Wednesday mornings for play dates.  The location will rotate through to different parks in West Knoxville.  Please call the church office for more information.

 

Women's Spring Bible Study Groups

Study:       The group selects a book or study of interest based on the direction of the
                 Holy Spirit and the spiritual needs/interest of the group.

When:        Every other Thursday, 7:00 pm

Woman-to-Woman Mentoring Program

A program where women are matched together to support each other one-on-one in their Christian walk.  Sign ups will begin in September.

Women's Prayer Group

This group of women comes together weekly to pray for the church, community, and the world meeting in the 2RC Prayer Chapel on Tuesday mornings at 9:30.

Women's Ministry Team

The Women's Ministry Team exists to serve you, the women of our 2RC church family. Our desire is that we would not just be another committee planning more activities and events for you to attend. Rather, we seek to provide opportunities for all of us to become more deeply connected to one another and to our Lord fulfilling the purpose and intent of our mission statement.


If you feel God is calling you to serve the women of 2RC by leading a Bible study, leading or hosting an Advance, helping to plan and organize the Retreat, or in any other way, please contact Lynn Moore and we will help you to plug in.
