Our Purpose - Showing God's Love To Your Child
Our kids are going to form many of their first impressions of God and the church through our ministry, so we want that picture to accurately reflect how awesome it is to have a relationship with Jesus. We want them to learn to be true worshippers and love God's Word while they are young, to experience the care and camaraderie of a Small Group, and to be given opportunities to discover their spiritual gifts as they serve others.

Our desire is to come alongside parents in their attempt to lay down a spiritual foundation that, in God's timing, will lead a child into a personal relationship with Jesus. This is accomplished through evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, service and worship all components of any effective ministry, including ministry to kids!
It will happen in the home as parents are equipped, mentored and encouraged in the training of their own children. It will happen at church for our 2RC kids - and children in our community - as we reach beyond ourselves through:
- Relevant, age-appropriate training to help children make significant faith decisions
- Body life within the 2RC community, and more specifically, in the context of peer Small Groups
- Developmentally relevant instruction and coaching designed to meet the children where they are and nudge them to next steps of faith
- Opportunities for children to benefit from the gifts of the Body, as well as blessing the Body through the gifts and serving hands of the children
- Big Church and kid-targeted family worship experiences
How We Partner With You
The Riverbank is a
child-targeted ministry designed to serve children.
Our ultimate goal is to partner with God and parents in helping our
children form their beliefs and embrace a faith that leads to a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Riverbank ministry uses the
creative arts to teach the Bible. Drama,
video and contemporary music are integrated into relevant,
age-appropriate programming. Kids meet in large groups for worship and
teaching, and in small groups to build community through
life-application discussion and activities. We want to equip each child
with key Bible skills to understand and apply God's Word to his or her
life.
The Riverbank ministry is led by teams of individuals who play specific
roles according to the gifts and talents God has provided a
gift-based
ministry where kids are coached by leaders, taught by gifted
communicators and nurtured by shepherds, all under the organizational
guidance of capable administrators.
The Riverbank ministry has established health and safety guidelines to
protect your family, and to promote a safe, quality learning environment
for your children.
